Service arrangements during St Mary’s refurbishment

From 18 July 2010 St Mary’s will be closed for refurbishment.  The arrangements for Sunday services are detailed below.

8am Service

This will remain the same service as it is at the moment.  All 8am services will be at St Anne‟s.

9am Service

This will be held at St Michael’s, Halton Village.

We will follow the same service pattern from the Parish Communion service order we currently use, and we will continue to use our hymn book with the addition of some of the better known songs we use at the 10.30am service.

Car parking in the village is restricted so please be sensitive to the residents. There is plenty of parking space in the car park adjacent to the playing fields just off the main road into Halton. The community car will continue to run for this service.

10.30am Service

This will be held in Wendover Junior School hall.

The Junior Church groups will also meet in rooms at the Junior school. The service pattern will vary with a communion service twice a month (one of which will be an All Age service), and the other 2 services based on the structure of a morning service with the opportunity for some input, discussion and worship. We will have music every Sunday.

There is plenty of car parking at the back of the Junior school.

6pm Service

This will continue to be Book of Common Prayer Choral Evensong every week at St Michael’s Halton.

Baptisms will be on the allotted Sundays at midday at St Michael’s, Halton.

Other occasional evening services will be at St Anne’s.

Car parking at St Mary’s from 7th June

From 7 June 2010 our building contractors Edgar Taylor will be using St Mary’s car park as their builders’ compound.

Car parking for services during June and part of July will be in Church Lane and Wendover House School. When parking at WHS, please use the grascrete parking which is on the right as you pass through the Church entrance to the school. Please drive carefully in the school grounds as there will be youngsters and other pedestrians using the grounds for Junior Church. Please leave parking near the church for those people who are less mobile.
