St Mary’s Church is a short distance from the centre of Wendover. Our address is Church Lane, Wendover, HP22 6NL.

Car parking for St Mary’s is along Church Lane, there is a very small car park for disabled visitors and the elderly .  During special services and large events Church Lane can become congested so it is for this reason we operate an informal ‘one way’ system with cars entering Church Lane from the London Road end and exiting back into Wendover along Hale Road (see map above).  To avoid congestion at the London Road entrance to Church Lane, please continue down Church Lane, past the church and park further along the road and if necessary, into Hale Road.

At all times Church Lane needs to be accessible by emergency vehicles. We would ask for your cooperation to ensure parked cars do not hinder access at any time by emergency vehicles.

Additional free car parking is also available at the Witchell Cricket Ground.  If driving from London/Amersham direction, this can be found by driving along London Road into South Street and taking a right turn into the Witchell (just before the petrol station) and then immediately right again into the Cricket Ground.  During large events there are usually car parking marshals who will be able to direct you.

Refurbishment

Refurb fundraising reaches almost £800,000

We are delighted to inform all friends and families of Wendover that over £800,000 has been raised by the St Mary's Refurbishment Appeal. This has been achieved through your generosity and hardwork. All involved in leading and co-ordinating this work are tremendously grateful to everyone for rallying together to reach this goal. We are still fundraising to raise a further £50,000 to complete the final parts of the project.

To download donation forms or to find out more details on the project and fundraising events please visit our Refurbishment Appeal page.
