In February 2010 we launched our appeal to fund the essential repairs and redecoration to St Mary’s interior and to replace the flooring and inadequate heating and lighting installations. The aim of the refurbishment was to both repair and preserve this special building but also to enhance it so that it can be more open, accessible and hospitable to all in our community. The main refurbishment work took just over nine months.
St Mary’s reopened on 16th April 2011 and was rededicated by the Rt Revd John Pritchard, Bishop of Oxford on 11th May.
Fundraising events continue to be held to pay for this project. Please click here for further information about these and how to donate.
