Weekend Away 2010

St Mary’s Weekend Away, October 2010 - The Frontier Centre, Nr Kettering

Over 100 people enjoyed a fantastic weekend away at The Frontier Centre, near Kettering.  With a mixture of bible study, group work, prayer, outward bound activities and a superb evening of entertainment, the weekend was a triumph of organisation, community and fellowship.

Just a few of the comments received include:

“A very positive and inspiring all round experience. The accommodation itself was just right! The feeling of togetherness was clear. The children’s activities were very good. The food was lovely. Karen’s sessions were well balanced, informative and fun. Thank you Michael and Margaret.”

“I really enjoyed archery because of all the fun shooting. Overall I loved it!!”

“Wonderfully organised and fantastically planned. Very smooth arrival and logistics all weekend. Felt comfortable in the Frontier Centre – excellent venue – great food, fun and fellowship. Thank you.”

“Thank you! A lovely time of fellowship.”

“Very well organised in a friendly and flexible way. A lot of fun, but with thoughtful content. A strong sense of togetherness and yet diversity. Mostly familiar faces and yet new friends to make.”

Refurbishment

Refurb fundraising reaches almost £800,000

We are delighted to inform all friends and families of Wendover that almost £800,000 has been raised by the St Mary's Refurbishment Appeal. This has been achieved through your generosity and hardwork. All involved in leading and co-ordinating this work are tremendously grateful to everyone for rallying together to reach this goal. We are still fundraising to raise a further £90,000 to complete the final parts of the project.
